River Place is a community situated on the North Fork of the St. Lucie River in Port St. Lucie. It is comprised of at present seven individual neighborhoods. There are 4 single family and 3 townhome neighborhoods. Bent Paddle, Eco Village, and Hawk’s Ridge, are the townhomes, and Little Kayak, Moss Rose, Canoe Park Circle and Little Turtle are single family homes, all with their own unique flavor. There are also tracts of commercial space that are part of River Place but are unimproved, except for the Woodlands Montessori school. The future could bring commercial as well as multi-family residential growth to those tracts. Rentals, however, can never be more than 5% of the total units per neighborhood.

River Place is a picturesque community which offers private water access to the St Lucie River via a community dock – perfect for boating and fishing enthusiasts. A newly remodeled clubhouse (The Plantation House), a public park, gym, large pool and nature trails are among the amenities River Place residents can enjoy.

The POA (Property Owners Association) is governed by a seven-member Board with elections being held in January. The Board consists of volunteers who are either property owners or commercial owners in the Association. Our Governing Documents are located under the Resources tab at the top of the page. It is important for everyone to be familiar with our governing documents and procedures. This is especially true in such matters as care and cleaning of homes and pavers, parking, safe driving, potential violations and modifications. Any exterior modifications must receive an approval from the Modification Committee. (The forms and information can be found on this River Place website and will also be available on the Accountsult/Paradise website.) We all want to live in harmony and goodwill and our mutual interest in the community makes a positive difference.

This Board is responsible for overseeing the daily functions and financial responsibilities as well as ensuring compliance with rules as stated in our governing documents. Each community, except Little Kayak, has its own specific services provided by the association. These services may include limited landscaping, limited fertilization, and exterior pest control. The townhomes have additional services specific to their neighborhood.

Please take the time to thoroughly read the Governing Documents you received during your home purchase process. These are also available online for your convenience. There are monthly Association Board meetings and quarterly CDD meetings, held at the Plantation House. All homeowners are encouraged to attend. Dates and times of Association meetings are posted outside the clubhouse as well as on signs at both entrances to River Place. The CDD, which maintains the common areas in the community, (grounds, pool, gym, clubhouse, nature trails and dock) has their own property management company. CDD Meeting dates are posted on their website and on the CDD tab on this website.  Please become familiar with the responsibilities of the CDD.

One principal objective is to maintain the natural beauty of River Place, which is a key reason why so many of us have chosen to live here. As residents, it is on our mutual interest to make a positive difference in River Place on the St. Lucie

We invite you to become an active and engaged resident and welcome you to this beautiful community!
