Community Development District
There is a separate Community Development District Board (the CDD) www.riverplacecdd.com made up of 5 supervisors. Fees for the CDD are paid in the non-ad valorem portion of your taxes. This quasi-governmental Board is responsible for most of the public spaces of River Place, for instance: the pool, spa, Plantation house, fitness center, boat launches, storage area, streetlights, landscaping along the public roadways, etc. The CDD is managed by a professional CDD management company, Governmental Management Services – South Florida, LLC (GMS), 5385 N. Nob Hill Road, Sunrise, FL 33351. (954) 721-8681. Most CDD information such as budgets, meeting dates, minutes, etc. can be found on the website. Our on-site property manager is Matthew Hans of GMS. Contact Matt for access pool/gym fob and to report streetlights out, or assistance with amenities for the public spaces listed above.
Please take the time to thoroughly read the Governing Documents you received during your home purchase process. These are available online for your convenience. There are monthly Association Board meetings and quarterly CDD meetings, held at the Plantation House. All homeowners are encouraged to attend. Dates and times of Association meetings are posted outside the clubhouse as well as on signs at both entrances to River Place. CDD Meeting dates are posted on the website.
